Studio Cave Canem

• March 2015: Finally! A new collection of vases is here! We turned our backs on technically oriented civilization and we set out to our countryside. We dusted off the old herbals and sought inspiration in the picturesque corners of our meadows and hillsides. Each glass vase of the collection „Meadow vases” is covered with an original hand-painted decoration. The simple charm of various kinds of grasses and meadow herbs is depicted on the surface of each vase. A Prague store Kubista sells the vases.
• On Thursday, May 30th, 2013 we will present in the evening "Fresh" in Prague design store Kubista our new installation called "Forest Still Life / Tribute to Charley Harper". It is a large, hand-decorated glass vase accompanied by several glass figures. This work shows a playful, more poetic work our Studio Cave Canem. We can find here romantic forest glade, decayed oaks moss-grown, still life with does, "the water's teeming with fish and birds fly over countries in the heavenly sky ... " Our forest still life enables the viewer to let off from our civilization and every day life and is intended as a tribute to our fairytale world American illustrator Charley Harper (1922-2007).
  
• On 5 February 2013, Moser Art Gallery in Old Town Square in Prague opened an sale exhibition entitled "Czech glass Masters" including our new glass collection. Exhibition representing the creation of a group of eighteen glass artists collaborating with Moser Glassworks. Opening words at the exhibition were offered by Milan Hlaveš, the head of the glass, ceramics and porcelain collections at the Decorative Arts Museum in Prague. (video).
• We would like to introduce our new autumn collection 2012 of hand painted glass vases.

  While the actual shapes of vases we let blowing in small family glassworks in Jizerské hory, decorations themselves are based on time-consuming craftsmanship and multiplication of subtle linear structures that already anticipated the mood of long winter evenings.

  The slim shape of these vases is complemented with decor mostly in dark tones. Eclectic mixture of various distinctive ornaments dominates motif of angel wings. And if we will be attentive, perhaps we can catch a silhouette of a flying angel.
• 15th June 2011 we have introduced on special full moon evening "Fresh" a range of original designs T- shirts with motifs of modern prague architecture in Prague shop Futurista Universum.
